Program Overview

The Bachelor’s in Chaplaincy & Divinity is designed for those called to walk with people through life’s most meaningful and most difficult moments. At a time when communities, institutions, and individuals are seeking spiritual care beyond traditional church settings, chaplaincy has become an essential and expanding ministry role.

This program combines theological depth with hands-on preparation, equipping students to serve with wisdom, discernment, and compassion in real-world ministry environments. Chaplaincy is not theoretical work—it requires presence, emotional intelligence, spiritual maturity, and the ability to respond wisely in moments of crisis, grief, trauma, and transition. This degree is intentionally structured to prepare students for that responsibility.

Program Focus

The Bachelor’s in Chaplaincy & Divinity integrates multiple areas of study, including:

• Biblical and theological foundations

Graduates are prepared for chaplaincy service across a wide range of environments, including healthcare, first responder support, churches, schools, community organizations, and other public and private settings. The program emphasizes ministry that extends beyond the pulpit—equipping chaplains to meet people where they are, often in moments when traditional ministry is not accessible.

Chaplaincy Courses

The Chaplaincy Courses below focus specifically on the calling, character, and competencies required for effective chaplaincy. These courses emphasize presence, discernment, ethical care, crisis response, trauma awareness, and practical ministry skills. They are designed to prepare students for the relational and spiritual demands of chaplaincy service while maintaining clear boundaries and professional responsibility.
