Course Overview
The Assisting Individuals in Crisis & Group Crisis Intervention course is designed to equip chaplaincy students with practical tools for responding to individuals and groups during times of acute stress, crisis, and critical incidents.
Chaplains are often present in moments where immediate support is needed. This course emphasizes the role of the chaplain as an emotional first responder, providing stabilizing presence and appropriate care in both one-on-one and group settings.
Rather than focusing on long-term counseling, this training centers on early intervention, helping individuals and communities navigate difficult moments with clarity, care, and support.
